Where do you work?

We are currently serving Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Maryland. In Virginia this includes cities like Aldie, Alexandria, Chantilly, Centerville, Gainsville, Haymarket, Herndon, Leesburg, Lucketts, McLean, Middleburg, Purceville, Reston, and Tysons Corner.  In Maryland, we serve cities such as Bethesda, Columbia, Ellicott City, Gaithersburg, Potomac and Rockville.  But we are always looking to explore new places.  Please contact us with location questions and we'll see how we can work together.

3.

How do I receive my images?

Your images will be provided over the web.  Each client will be provided a log in to download their images and the images will be available for 30 days.  If additional time is required to download the images, just let us know!

4.

How long does it take to get my pictures?

We strive to get all session images to clients no later than 2 weeks after the session.  If for some reason you need your pictures faster than that, we can work with you to expedite the timeline.  Please make us aware of any deadlines as soon as you can.

5.

Do you use a contract?

Yes, we find that using a contract is the clearest way to capture important information for everyone like the shooting location, agreed upon services and final pricing.  And we make it very quick and easy by using Hellosign so you can review the contract online and digitally sign it.

6.

How do you handle cancellations and rescheduling?

We understand that life can be crazy and Mother Nature isn't always the most cooperative of partners.  If the session has to be rescheduled due to a non-weather related issue such as illness or family emergency, we will reschedule once with no cost to the client. If the second session has to be rescheduled, the client's deposit will be retained and a new contract may be required.  Weather related cancellations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

7.

Why do you ask how many people will be part of the session?

Our objective in each session is to create a positive and fun atmosphere for all the participants.  Depending on the number of people, additional people are helpful to handle props and equipment or to entertain kiddos while parents get a couple of shots as couple. So details like the number of small children helps us arrange for the right personnel to be onsite to guarantee a great experience.

What age do you recommend for newborn sessions?

In our experience, newborn sessions go most smoothly when your little one has established a good routine.  When they can go approximately 2 hours between feedings and will sleep soundly for at least an hour of that time, they are most comfortable and the shoot goes more smoothly.  For posed images, we recommend doing them prior to 1 month to capture those earliest of days.  But if you are more interested in lifestyle images, it is easier to photograph your newest addition with the "bigs" in their life (parents and siblings) after 1 month since they are a little bit larger and a little bit stronger.
